Burning is an alternative, drum n' bass-inspired song that relies on a sense of propulsion and anxiety in order to detail the chronicles of a toxic push-and-pull relationship. It encapsulates the feeling of "burning alive" when consumed by the delusional thoughts and addictive highs and lows that come with being with someone that you know is bad for you. It's fun and fast-paced with roaring guitars and an energetic beat with a dark undercurrent, emphasized by the chorus-laden bass and moody synth line.
